The HbA1c assay is the latest addition to Sebia’s Capillarys 2 Flex Piercing menu. The system separates the HbA1c fraction from other fractions and interfering substances by capillary electrophoresis. The assay is processed directly from whole blood primary capped tubes with a throughput of up to 40 tests per hour. The rapid HbA1c validation interface using the Mosaic Screen display mode allows the validation of up to 48 patients’ results at a time, and a visual colour code highlights normal and abnormal results.
