DNA DAY!

DNA Day | Medical Supply Company

Who knew it was DNA Day today?  The 25th of April marks an important day in the calendar for any scientist.  On the 25th of April 1953, James Watkins, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin and colleagues published their papers in Nature on the structure of DNA.  The Human Genome Project also chose the 25th of April in 2003 to declare that they were very close to completion and the remaining tiny gaps would be too costly to fill.

The known structure of DNA has only been around for 66 years, and in that short time scientists have unraveled a wealth of information on topics including replication, mutagenesis, oncology, to name just a few.

To celebrate this day, MSC will be giving out 4 DNA Giant Microbes for each base in DNA.  To win, all you have to do, is comment on the website page below.  We will then complete a luck draw for the winners!
