Tristel Fuse is a high- level disinfectant and sporicidal solution designed to prevent outbreaks and ward closures. It is delivered in an easy to use sachet which is mixed with water and ready to use right away.
- The active ingredient of Tristel Fuse is Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2)
- ClO2 is WHO approved for drinking water disinfection and is approved by the US EPA.
- The biocidal activity of ClO2 is oxidation. Tristel Fuse has a higher oxidative capacity than agents such as paracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and aqueous chlorine meaning that it has better biocidal activity.
- ClO2 kills viruses, bacterial and other micro-organisms, including spores, by sequestering electrons from the micro-organism, this results in molecular imbalance and death of the organism. The microbes cannot develop resistance to this method.
- ClO2 is less corrosive to surfaces than other common cleaners such as aqueous chlorine, paracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide
- Tristel Fuse is very easy to use. The product comes as a two-compartment sachet. The sachet components are mixed together and then added to 5 litres of water. This can then be used directly on surfaces
- Each cleaning kit comes with microfibre clothes a sterile spray bottle and syringe
- Less harmful to people and equipment compared to other common biocides, eg Hydrogen Peroxide and Chlorine
