ALK Protein (ALK-1) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) is a novel receptor protein-tyrosine kinase.1 ALK can create a fusion protein with a nuclear protein gene called nucleophosmin (NPM) via the amino terminus of NPM and the catalytic domain of ALK.2 The product of this fusion protein is oncogenic.1 Studies have found this chromosomal translocation in most anaplastic large-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, making ALK a good marker for anaplastic large cell lymphomas.2
