KWIK-STIKNote: Tryptic Soy Agar (Soybean Casein Digest Agar), and Standard Methods Agar (Plate Count Agar) are appropriate alternatives for some Clostridium perfringens strains together with an additional period (24 hours) of incubation. Clostridium species may have reduced recovery when using the alternative agars.
