Plasma-Chex™ Autoclave Indicator Tape
Plasma-Chex™ sterilization indicator tape can be used with packages, pouches and trays as a process indicator for VHP sterilization. It provides immediate identification of sterilized trays and packs with a clear blue/purple to pink color change.
Product description:
Plasma-Chex™ is a pressure sensitive tape available in 1″ (25 mm) width designed to secure sterilization packages. The tape is imprinted with a process indicator – Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP) reactive ink. The stripe & dot pattern printed with reactive ink changes color when exposed to VHP (Plasma) sterilization. The tapes are intended to demonstrate exposure to VHP sterilization process and distinguish processed and not processed sterilization packs or items. The color change should not be interpreted as indications of the adequacy of the sterilization cycle. The plastic tape substrate is white in color which does not change during VHP sterilization. Plasma-Chex™ tape utilizes latex- free and DNR-free adhesive.
Physical parameters:
The core size is 3 inches (7.5 cm), and it fits any standard dispenser of appropriate size.
Color change:
The unprocessed indicator color is dark blue/purple. It will turn pink after exposure to VHP sterilization. After exposure, if the tape is stored within recommended temperature 15°C-30°C (59°F-86°F) and RH 35-60% ranges in a dark place, the pink color will last for at least 3 years.
Performance:
Propper Plasma-Chex™ tape conforms to the requirements of ISO 11140-1:2014, Type 1 indicator.
Storage conditions:
Temperature 15°C-30°C (59°F-86°F): RH 35-60%.
