MSC was delighted to join our partners Faster srl (part of Dasit Group) in celebrating the official opening of their new factory in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna. A large delegation from MSC including representatives from sales, management and service attended. All enjoyed the factory tour, beautiful lunch and tour of the historic centre of Ferrara.
The factory represents a €10 million investment by Faster. Designed, in conjunction with the University of Bologna, with the latest LEAN manufacturing principles in mind it is hoped that the new facility will help accelerate Faster towards being the premier supplier of clean air equipment globally. The factory has already been recognized with a LEAN design award and has featured in a case study in the Harvard Business Review Italy.
Ferrara is a city in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. It’s known for the buildings erected by its Renaissance rulers, the Este family. These include the moated Este Castle, with its lavish private chambers. The family also built the Diamanti Palace, which is clad in diamond-shaped marble blocks and home to the National Picture Gallery. The Romanesque Ferrara Cathedral has a 3-tiered facade and a marble bell tower.
MSC wishes everyone at Faster and Dasit Group all the best with the new factory, and looking forward to working closely with them in the future.
