Consumables for KingFisher nucleic acid isolation system now available from MSC

The demand for automated nucleic acid isolation has increased hugely since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes plastics for the KingFisher™ 96 well automated isolation platform.

MSC are proud to announce that our partner Brooks Life Science are now supplying 96 well KingFisher™ plastics for RNA, DNA or protein isolation. All of these products have been specifically designed for use with the KingFisher™ system and are made from polypropylene, which has very low biomolecular binding characteristics, high temperature tolerance and resistance to many chemicals including DMSO. The plastics are all RNase, DNase, human genomic DNA and pyrogen free.

KingFisher 96 Square Well Microplates are 96 well with 200µl V-bottom wells  specifically designed for use with KingFisher™ systems. These plates have square wells, which make best use of space and improve mixing, as well as an alphanumeric grid to aid well and sample identification. To further aid sample ID the plates are available with barcodes on request.

KingFisher 96 Tip Comb for Deep Well Magnets are polypropylene magnet combs which have very low biomolecular binding characteristics and are supplied free from RNase, DNase, human gDNA and pyrogens. The combs are easily stackable and are compatible with the deep well plates below.

KingFisher Square Deep Well Microplates have 2ml square, V bottom wells. The plates have been specifically designed for use with the KingFisher™ system and are fully compatible with the tip comb above. The square wells make best use of space and improve mixing. The plates can be ordered with an alphanumeric grid to aid well and sample identification.
