Webinar Immunotyping vs. Immunofixation

Immunofixation for the Detection of Monoclonal Gammopathies | Medical Supply Company

Want to move to a more automated approach to the detection of M-proteins and the determination of different isotopes? Immunotyping (IT) using Sebia Capillary electrophoresis is a streamlined, FDA approved, and easy method used for the detection of M-proteins. Although it will never entirely replace the need for Serum Immunofixation (IF), it will certainly cut down the use of gels and the time it takes to detect these M-Proteins.

In this webinar Dr.Katie Thoren will discuss a recent study comparing the performance of IT compared to IF, reviewing the limitations of each test and potential strategies for mitigating these limitations.
