The MEDIAWEL 50L is an automatic media preparator designed to efficiently produce various types of agar, broths, and dilution fluids in the laboratory. It offers capacities ranging from 5 to 50 litres and ensures high-temperature accuracy, thereby enhancing productivity, quality, reproducibility and traceability. This equipment allows for faster media preparation and provides flexibility in terms of the types of media that can be prepared.
Despite its increased capacity, MEDIAWEL 50 maintains the same footprint as the previous MEDIAWEL 30 model, requiring no additional space in the lab.
Key features of MEDIAWEL 50 include a patented large stirring rod that ensures thorough mixing for high-viscosity media types. There is a built-in pre-filter to prevent contamination. The pre-filter not only safeguards the main filter from clogging but also serves as a cost-effective feature.
Safety is prioritized in the design of MEDIAWEL 50. The safety lid automatically locks when the temperature reaches 80°C, minimizing the risk of injury. Visible and audible alarms, along with an anti-shock housing, further enhance user safety compared to manual media preparation methods. The equipment also offers full traceability, allowing for easy export of data via a USB interface. This feature speeds up work processes and optimizes workflow.
MEDIAWEL 50L features include:
- 7” colour touchscreen
- Continuous homogenisation
- Slow stirring – 9 adjustable speeds from 20 to 110 rpm to avoid bubbling
- Sterilisation temperature of 95°C to 125°C
- Temperature precision of +/- 0.5°C after sterilisation
- 16 GB SD card included, which can store up to 10,000 cycles
- One-click connection to and disconnection from the water supply
- Large medical wheels to enable the device to be moved to where needed.
MEDIAWEL 50 is compatible with other items of laboratory equipment, such as peristaltic pumps (DOSYWEL), pourer stackers (DISTRIWEL) and gravimetric diluters (DILUWEL).
