The Hemosafe® 2.0 is an automated and computerized blood bank refrigerator that allows for the allocation of the right blood to the right patient at the point of care when needed. As part of its blood management software, the Hemosafe® 2.0 is connected to an electronic blood tracking system that will select the most suitable bag for each patient. It distributes blood based on ABO/Rh/ Kell phonotype compatibility, expiration date and other parameters set out by the management team for the blood bank.
Full traceability
The Hemosafe® 2.0 ensures that a blood bank has full traceability for their blood bags, from transport time to storage conditions of blood components, in-out movement of blood units and, loading/delivery operations carried out on the Hemosafe® 2.0. Barcodes of the blood units are automatically scanned on loading and unloading eliminating the possibility of human error. The hemosafe® 2.0 is ideally suited for all situations where concentrated red blood cells and plasma need to be stored in compliance with directive 93/42/EEC for medical devices.
Safe, prompt delivery
The Hemosafe 2.0 provides increased security and extends this security to remote and peripheral hospitals, ensuring the immediate availability of blood at the point of care 24/7, reducing the workload of specialized staff and cutting transport time between central blood banking locations and hospitals. Using electronic crossmatching Hemosafe® 2.0 reduces the number of compatibility tests and the number of allocated but not transfused blood units being allocated The Hemosafe® 2.0 can maintain a supply of blood units available for transfusion as needed without the need for user input.
